China fest to host Iran film squad

Lineup of four Iranian films is set to screen at Qingdao Int'l Filmfest in China.

The four Iranian movies which screen during the festival are 'Iran Burger', 'Mermaid', 'Pond of Dragonflies' and 'Track 143'.

Directed by Masoud Jafari-Jozani, 'Iran Burger' is an Iranian comedy narrating the story of two residents of a village who compete to gain a seat at the City and Village Councils of Iran.

Amir-Masoud Aghababaian's 'Mermaid' tells the story of Younes a survivor of a diving team in Iraq-Iran war that lives near the Persian Gulf.

'Pond of Dragonflies' is directed by Mohammad-Reza Arab.

'Track 143' by Narges Abyar narrates the story of a mother who keeps waiting for her son to come back from the battlefield.

Qingdao Int'l Filmfest has been organized and launched by Iran's Islamic Culture and Communications Organization in collaboration with the country's cultural attaché office in China.

The festival currently underway is set to wrap up Sunday, June 17, 2018.
